This communist was Jiang Shanzhong, a member of the Jiangxi Provincial Soviet Government's Magistracy, who was born in 1909 to a poor peasant family in Changgang Township and was originally named Jiang Shanchong. 1928, inspired and guided by the progressive forces in the area, he resolutely joined the revolution, joined the Peasants' Association, acted as a propaganda member of the Association, and took part in battles under the command of the Red Guard of the First Eastern District, and was known as the “Iron Tough Guy”. “In 1929, he joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) and changed his name to Jiang Shanzhong to express his lifelong loyalty to the Party.
In 1931, Jiang Shanzhong was transferred to be the chairman of the township soviet government, and later became the head of the magistracy department of the district, county and provincial soviet governments, etc. In October 1934, the Central Red Army started the Long March, and because Jiang Shanzhong had high prestige among the local people, the organization left him in the Soviet area to persist in the guerrilla struggle. Jiang Shanzhong of the referee department organs for the reorganization, the young and strong staff of the Red Army guerrillas, rolling insisted on the mountainous area in Xingguo, outstandingly completed the party organization to suppress counter-revolutionary elements, clean up the task of traitors and traitors. For a time, the enemy as long as heard the name of “Minister Jiang”, all fear. They hated Jiang Shanzhong so much that they offered a reward of 5,000 dollars for his head. When Jiang Shanzhong heard about this, he wrote a little poem: “Climbing the mountain peaks with straw shoes on my feet, I am not afraid of the rain or the wind, I am not afraid of falling on my head.
