Dagou Chemical has been recognized as a “Leader” enterprise in China’s industrial carbon‑peak initiative for 2025!
On December 27, the Fourth China Industrial Carbon Peak Forum was held in Qingdao, Shandong. Tianjin Dagou Chemical Co., Ltd. was recognized as a 2025 “Leader” enterprise in China’s industrial carbon‑peak initiative, thanks to its systematic practices and notable achievements in optimizing its energy mix, upgrading energy‑saving technologies, and advancing the coordinated development of digitalization and green transformation.
The selection of “leading” enterprises in China’s industrial sector for achieving carbon peak is spearheaded by the China Federation of Industrial Economics. It aims to implement the national strategies for peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, identifying and promoting outstanding companies that serve as model leaders in the green transition. Following rigorous procedures for application, review, evaluation, and public announcement, a total of 46 enterprises nationwide have been awarded this distinction. Dagu Chemical’s successful inclusion underscores the high level of recognition its green‑development initiatives have received at both the industry and national levels.
In recent years, Dagou Chemical has actively implemented the “dual carbon” strategy, placing green development at its core and systematically advancing energy conservation, emissions reduction, and low‑carbon transformation across all stages of production. In the process of building a “green Dagou,” the company has achieved a series of notable results. The company has focused on optimizing its energy mix by developing distributed photovoltaic projects, with a cumulative installed capacity of 4.1 MW and an annual power generation of 4.9 million kWh. At the same time, it has actively participated in the market‑based trading of green electricity, steadily increasing the share of green power; by 2025, the proportion of green electricity used is expected to exceed 50%. On the front of energy‑saving technological upgrades, from 2022 to 2024 the company carried out 12 projects, achieving energy savings equivalent to 5,870 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 16,300 tons. Furthermore, the company has vigorously promoted the integration of digitalization and green practices, successfully establishing an MES production management platform that seamlessly integrates production, safety, and energy data into a multidimensional, unified system—serving as a powerful command center for safety management, production coordination, and energy allocation.
